What is GlideEV and who is it for?

GlideEV is India's premium EV rental platform in Bangalore. We rent electric two-wheelers on flexible daily, weekly, and monthly plans. For everyone — IT professionals, students, weekend riders, and delivery partners on Swiggy, Zomato, Zepto, Blinkit, Porter, Amazon, Flipkart, JioMart, Urban Company. Glide Clean. Glide Smart.
What documents do I need?

Three things:
  • Aadhaar Card — front and back
  • Driving Licence — valid two-wheeler licence
  • A selfie — for identity verification
PAN Card is optional. Upload from phone in 2 minutes during booking.
How quickly can I start riding?

15 minutes from arrival at our Doddakannelli centre. Online booking 90s, KYC verification instant, payment 30s, pickup + demo 10-15 min. Home pickup available for monthly customers.
Where is GlideEV available?
+
Currently Bangalore. Doddakannelli centre, 9 AM – 8 PM, 7 days. Expanding to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai in 2026. info@glideev.com for waitlist.
Minimum age?
+
18 years or older, with valid two-wheeler driving licence from Indian RTO. Foreign nationals: valid Indian visa + FRRO + International Driving Permit.
02 — Pricing & Plans

Pricing & plans.

How much does it cost?

Starting at:
  • Daily: ₹250/day (100 km)
  • Weekly: ₹1,700/week (700 km)
  • Monthly: ₹6,000/month (3,000 km)
+ 5% GST. One-time refundable security deposit ₹4,000.
Is there a security deposit?
+
Flat ₹4,000 refundable, once. Returned within 7 working days of returning the vehicle in good condition. Deductions for damage, missing items, or unpaid fines.
What's included?

  • Electric scooter (Ather/Motovolt/BGauss/Quantum)
  • Comprehensive insurance
  • Free maintenance

  • KM allowance per plan (extra ₹2/km)

What if I exceed KM limit?

Extra KMs charged ₹2/km, billed at cycle end. Live usage in app. WhatsApp alert at 80% of limit. Regular overruns? We'll suggest upgrade.
Can I switch plans?
+
Yes. Upgrade/switch at any renewal point. Many start daily, switch to weekly, then monthly. Message WhatsApp or change in app. Pro-rated fairly.
How does payment work?
+
Via Cashfree — UPI (free), debit/credit cards, netbanking, wallets. Pay in advance per cycle. Optional auto-renewal — cancel anytime. Every payment generates a GST invoice.

  • Motovolt M7 — 140 km range, 50 kmph, home charging with provided charger, removable battery
  • BGauss Max C12 — 110 km range, 50 kmph, home charging with provided charger, removable battery
  • Ather 450X — 100 km range, 90 kmph, home charging with provided charger, fixed battery
  • Ather Rizta — 125 km range, 80 kmph, home charging with provided charger, fixed battery

Use for delivery?

Absolutely. Built for commercial use. Supports Swiggy, Zomato, Zepto, Blinkit, Porter, Amazon, Flipkart, JioMart, Urban Company, FreshToHome, Rapido, Uber, Ola.
Battery range?
+
Real-world: 60–125 km per charge. Battery swap stations across Bangalore — under 2 minutes. Home charging via included charger.
Is the bike insured?
+
Yes — comprehensive: theft (with FIR), third-party, accidental damage. Excess up to ₹2,000 per claim. Negligence/violations void coverage.
Can someone else ride?
+
No. Only registered renter. Insurance and safety. Violation voids insurance.
Helmet provided?
+
Yes — certified ISI helmet, free. Monthly riders 6+ months get a free helmet to keep.

Who pays for maintenance?
+
We do. Brake pads, tyres, battery, motor — all included. Bring to our Doddakannelli centre or we collect for monthly riders. Damage from negligence is chargeable.
Breakdown on the road?
+
Call +91 90697 96989 or tap SOS in app. 24/7 RSA in 30 min. Can't fix on spot? We bring a backup bike.
In an accident?

Immediately:
  • Check for injuries, ensure safety

  • File police FIR if injuries or significant damage

  • Don't admit liability on the spot

Insurance covers loss if procedures followed.
05 — Cancel & Refunds

Cancel & refund.

Can I cancel?
+
Yes, anytime. Return vehicle to our Doddakannelli centre. Already-paid non-refundable, but charges stop. Deposit refunded in 7 days. No cancellation fee, no lock-in.
When do I get deposit back?
+
₹4,000 refunded within 7 working days of return. Conditions: good condition, accessories returned, no outstanding fines/overages. Deductions itemized via WhatsApp.
Extend my rental?
+
Tap Renew in app or WhatsApp 1-2 days before expiry. New payment link, vehicle stays. Auto-renewal toggleable.
