The legal stuff — written in plain English so you actually understand what you're agreeing to.
The TL;DR: Rent a clean, working bike. Ride it carefully and legally. Pay on time. Return it in good condition. Get your deposit back. Everyone wins.
GlideEV is operated by Velofly Technologies Private Limited, incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013, with registered office in Bangalore, Karnataka. In these terms, "GlideEV", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Velofly Technologies Pvt Ltd. "You" or "Rider" refers to the person renting a vehicle.
By completing a booking, you confirm all information is accurate and you accept these terms. The rental period begins at vehicle handover and ends at vehicle return — not at booking time. Rentals are non-transferable.
The vehicle must be used responsibly and within Indian law. Specifically:
Each plan includes a kilometer allowance (Daily: 100km; Weekly: 700km; Monthly: 3000km). Usage beyond the allowance is charged at ₹2 per km, calculated at cycle end. Live usage is visible in the Rider App.
A grace period of 2 hours applies past your rental end. After that, a late fee of ₹50 per day applies. Excessive late returns may trigger account suspension.
We cover all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance arising from normal wear-and-tear. Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or accidents is chargeable to the Rider. Any issue must be reported via WhatsApp, the Rider App, or by phone within 24 hours.
If the vehicle is stolen: (a) call us immediately at +91 90697 96989; (b) file a police FIR within 24 hours; (c) submit FIR copy within 48 hours. Failure to follow this procedure may void insurance and the Rider becomes liable for full vehicle value (₹80,000–₹1,40,000 depending on model).
In case of accident, you must: ensure safety, call us immediately, file a police FIR if there are injuries or significant damage, take photos of the scene and damage, and not admit fault on the spot. We will assist with insurance proceedings.
You may cancel anytime by returning the vehicle to our HSR Layout centre. Already-paid amounts are non-refundable, but ongoing charges stop. We may terminate the rental immediately for: breach of these terms, providing false information, repeated late payments, or behaviour that endangers the vehicle or others.
The vehicle must be returned: with all accessories (charger, helmet, documents); with battery level above 20%; in clean and reasonable condition. Excessive cleaning, missing accessories, or damage will be deducted from the deposit.
We collect KYC documents, contact details, GPS location data (for fleet management and emergencies), payment information, and ride history. Data is stored securely on Supabase (Singapore region) and Indian payment processors. We do not sell your data. We may share data with law enforcement on valid legal request, with insurance providers for claims, and with our subprocessors (Cashfree, Twilio, etc.).
Every GlideEV vehicle has an IoT device that tracks location, speed, battery, and operational status in real time. This data is used for fleet management, theft prevention, breakdown response, and operational improvements. By renting, you consent to this monitoring during the rental period.
Any dispute arising from these terms is governed by Indian law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka. We encourage informal resolution first — please email info@glideev.com before escalating.
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be notified via WhatsApp and email 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
